Vishal Somasundaram

B.S. University of Delaware, Chemical Engineering

Vishal is from Fairfax, Virginia, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in May 2025. During his time at Delaware, he worked in Dr. Aditya Kunjapur’s lab, where he developed whole-cell enzyme cascades to convert lignin-derived alcohols into aromatic amines. In the fall of 2025, Vishal joined the Mehta lab. Outside of research, he enjoys playing video games and running half marathons.
